Decision Stability Intelligence

Early-warning intelligence for human decision systems. The DECIDE module applies the memory-extended CANAREON Engine to detect instability in individual and organisational decision capacity.

How It Works

Signal → State → Action → Outcome

Signal
Six domain inputs (CS, LS, VE, DD, RF, VA) are mapped to BCI-M core signals via the canonical decision layer.
State
The composite Decision Stability Index maps continuously to one of five operational states: S0 STABLE through S4 COLLAPSE.
Action
Each state carries a state-specific recommended action: Monitor / Prepare / Intervene / Respond / Recover.
Outcome
Leadership teams receive advance notice of decision instability while intervention is still effective — before performance degrades visibly.

The CANAREON Engine — BCI-M

The DECIDE module runs on BCI-M — a memory-extended form of the CANAREON Engine.

Unlike standard approaches that assess only current conditions, BCI-M accounts for how past stress shapes present system behaviour.

Two individuals with similar current capacity and instability levels may respond very differently depending on their prior stress exposure. BCI-M captures this effect.

Core Signals
Capacity Index

The system's remaining ability to absorb load and maintain stable performance.

Instability Signal

The degree to which the system is exhibiting unstable or reactive behaviour.

Vulnerability Index

Accumulated stress over time that continues to influence current performance.

Stress Response

How prior load impacts the system's ability to sustain capacity.

Decision Stability Index

A composite score (0–100) representing overall system stability.

The index integrates capacity, instability, and accumulated stress to provide a single operational view of decision system health.

Operational Impact

BCI-M tracks how system stability evolves over time, enabling early identification of rising risk before performance visibly degrades.

It provides advance notice while intervention is still effective.

Module status: The DECIDE module uses BCI-M — framework locked, empirical validation in progress. The canonical BCI engine (engine_core.py) is unchanged.
